Psalm 34:19-22 | Exodus 15:22-16:36 | Matthew 22:23-40

My words that I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouths of your children, or out of the mouths of your children’s children. Isaiah 59:21

The word of the Lord endures forever. That word is the good news that was announced to you. 1 Peter 1:25

We give thanks to you, gracious God, for the gift of Christ – your communication of who you are and what you want us to be. We have experienced your good news and we are determined to pass it on to future generations through our words and actions. Guide us in this endeavor. Amen.

  1. It is so easy to worry….to worry about what I have done and what I will do. In the breakthrough of God’s Kingdom there is no need for worry. God will take care me. Lord help me trust you more and more each day to experience the fullness of your kingdom. Amen

  2. We will be like the angels with the living:) Wow! I wonder who we will meet. . .
As for Exodus, there is a saying: God provides the birds with food, but he doesn’t throw it into the nest. God’s work ethic instilled from Genesis to Exodus, to today, is something that never changed. Father, let us engage in meaningful work, in balance, to grow the best for harvest. Amen.

  3. ‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’

This commandment can be very difficult to understand and follow. If you love God above all else with passion, your prayers and all your thoughts, what about your spouse? How do we leave room for others if all your love is for God? When we go to Heaven, we are beyond marriage, all our ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God. So where do we see God? We see Him in others!!

See God in your neighbors and especially see God in your spouse. Look for the greatness of God in your partner and love that in them.

May we see God in others and love them as we love Him, with all our heart, mind and soul. Amen
