Good Shepherd! 
Evil will always exist. The Lord offers a refuge from it. Just like the teachers of the law and the pharisees in Mathew 23, I must beware of greed, self indulgence, hypocrisy, wickedness and passing judgement on others. How easily it sneaks into my life. Staying connected to God helps keep my sites on love, justice, mercy and faithfulness.
God’s word is like an ever-present mirror. I don’t always like what I see, yet find in His truth the way to redemption.
